The apparel brand NOMA t.d. was launched in 2005 by Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki. Their contemporary collection incorporates original hand-drawn textiles and traditional techniques such as printing, dyeing and embroidery encountered in and out of Japan, implementing new perspectives in them. This publication visually unfolds the trajectory of the brand: With its focus on archiving and editing, the book presents the duo’s unique philosophy of making things with vibrant, randomly-combined visuals, views of their studio and production sites, and glimpses of their creative hints.
